4 Itinerary
Overview
My itinerary originally included Iran and Yemen but sadly the Foreign and Commonwealth Office recommends against travel to both countries on account of their respective political climates. I therefore had to revise my itinerary quite late on and the focus is now the Levant rather than the Middle East. (Fortunately the only abortive cost was the Lonely Planet guide to Iran!)
I am aiming to reduce my carbon footprint by travelling overland, predominantly by train, bus and boat. The Seat 61 website has been an invaluable resource!
